Little Gordon Ramsay

Dina and I have started watching [shudder] Hell’s Kitchen. There’s not a lot of depth to it, but it seems to appeal to some kind of sadistic side of us.

I stumbled across these and thought I’d share. They’re pretty funny. I purposely skipped over part 2. It’s easy enough to find if you want it, but I didn’t find it quite as amusing.

I have to admit, I'm a big Gordon Ramsay fan. I actually think Hell's Kitchen is the least appealing of his many shows, although of course I watch it. I prefer Top Chef for that format, it's a lot better a show.

For my money, the best Gordon Ramsay you can watch is from the British version of "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares", showing here on BBC America. He's a lot more subdued and rational, and really seems to care a lot more. The American shows focus on the rage and the confrontation almost exclusively. The difference between the way the shows are edited between the two countries is, to me, very interesting.

Anyway, it sounds like we have the same TV viewing habits, Rob! If you haven't checked out the BBC Kitchen Nightmares, I'd definitely recommend it.
